The membership rules were decided upon during the general meeting in Düsseldorf on December 11, 2006.
[1] All full and associate members of the "Demografie-Experten e.V." (Demography Experts Association) pay a membership fee.
[2] The annual fee is €50,00.
[3] The fixed annual fee has to be paid entirely for the relevant year, independently from the time of admission to the association (club entry).
[4] The membership fee has to be paid in advance for the coming year, yet latest until January 31 of that same year. If admission occurs throughout the year, the membership fee needs to be paid within one month after publication of the written notification of admission to the DEx. The membership begins with the date of admission.
[5] For all payments of membership fees and donations, the association will set up its own formal bank account.
[6] A reduction of dues might be possible in single extreme cases and must be decided upon by the Board. The General Assembly decides over solutions to disputes.
[7] The duty to pay annual membership fees may be lifted from voluntarily working senior trainers.
[8] Honorary members are exempt from the obligation to contribute membership fees.
[9] The membership fees are a means to fund general services for the members, as well as other costs of the association: maintenance of the headquarters and certain joint activities. The Board decides upon the details within the financial possibilities of the association.
[10] Annually, the Board has to report to the General Assembly to seek justice and relief. The accounting activities of the Board are being controlled by the annual accounts auditor who has been elected by the General Assembly.
[11] Members of the association are being voluntarily active in certain bodies of the DEx. Any costs incurred will be covered by the members themselves. A refund is possible under special circumstances and has to be applied for with the Board.
[12] The Board has to provide a budget plan for the following business year. The General Assembly approves this budgetary estimations.
[13] The members are asked to support the association with donations and services additionally to their membership fees.
